A letter from our founder
I spent fifteen years in hospitals. Not as a clinician - I worked on the systems underneath them, figuring out why things broke.
You see a lot from that position. Not the dramatic cases. The slow ones. People arriving at sixty carrying thirty years of decisions nobody thought were decisions at the time.
Then my dad had a stroke. Then another. Then he was gone.
Around the same time I started noticing people I grew up with. Athletes at seventeen. By forty, something had gone out of them and hadn't come back.
